Cii Youth AMS Spelling Buzz Bee 2018 Report

It was a riveting finale with 13 schools particiapting in the Annual Cii Youth AMS Spelling Buzz Bee 2018 competition. The Prelim rounds are completed at the respective schools. The top 2 learners are then selected from each school and are entered into the finale. It took the Sergeant to seperate and determine the winner of this years Spelling Buzz Bee.

13. Al Huda Muslim Academy Klerksdorp

Winner Learner: Aaliya Suliman
2nd place:Houghton Muslim Academy
2nd place: Muhammed Yusuf Moosa
Winning word: Sergeant
The atmosphere was filled with tension and stiff competition with at least 12 learners reaching the knock-out round. The adjudicators Ml Shakeer Seedat and Hfz Ilyaas Snyders had no easy task in the elimination process during the knock-out round. Mr Derek Healy, an educator from Al Huda Muslim School with 51 years of teaching expereince shared words of motivation to all who were present.
The programme was well attended by teachers and parents.
