A New Islamic Year Begins

All praise is due to Allah ﷻ who has blessed us to witness the arrival of the new Islamic year, 1448 AH.

The 1st of Muharram marks the beginning of a new year in the Islamic calendar and provides an opportunity for every Muslim to reflect on the past, renew their intentions, and strengthen their relationship with Allah ﷻ.

Muharram is one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Qur’an, a month in which good deeds are greatly rewarded and sins should be especially avoided.As we enter this new year, let us take lessons from the Hijrah of Rasulullah ﷺ, which teaches us faith, sacrifice, perseverance, and complete trust in Allah ﷻ.

Let us make sincere tawbah, increase in our acts of worship, uphold good character, and strive to become better servants of Allah ﷻ.
